Adoptions: One more cat found their home since our last newsletter. Congratulations to Tofu! You can see all of the lucky adopted kitties on our Success Stories page. We have had 47 adoptions this year so far.
Featured Cat: Pepper is about 6 months old. She spent some time in a foster home where she warmed up to her foster mom, but the lounge has been overwhelming at times and she has had a harder time being appreciated by visitors. She presents as timid and cautious but we know once she’s finally home she’ll be a sweetheart to her chosen person. She rolls over for tummy rubs and purrs away! She plays with the other kittens and loves to cuddle with Spice and Sizzle.

Fundraising and Events: Last month we launched our holiday market in our lobby shop for holiday shopping so please keep us in mind for unique and handmade gifts this year.
The lounge will have some modified hours as we look ahead to the holidays. We will have extended hours on Friday, December 22nd, from 10am – 5pm. We will be closed on Saturday and Sunday, December 23-24.
Humble Ask
Adoptions have slowed down over the past few months which means income has also been a little bit lower. We are proud to care for the lounge cats as we would care for our very own and we hope you will consider Cassie’s Cats for a contribution. All donations are tax-deductible (Tax ID 84-4170318) and we are 100% volunteer-based. All money raised goes back to caring for the cats and maintaining their space.
It is because of generosity that we can help cats like Fabienne and Princess as well as underage kittens who need to be spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, etc., and keep all of the lounge cats safe, healthy, and happy, too! Visits to the lounge help fund some of what we do but those visits don’t cover everything. Donations of food and litter also help; we use at least 200 pounds of cat litter every month and easily go through a case of wet kitten food every 4 days or so.
