We are trying a new event: Crafts and Cats! Saturday, April 29th, 2:30-4pm, $20.
If you enjoy knitting, crocheting, needlepoint, hand-sewing, adult coloring, or other non-messy crafts, bring what you’re working on and spend an afternoon with the cats and other crafty people! We’ll have Keurig beverages on hand along with some treats. You bring your current project.
Please no paints or tiny objects that could be swallowed by the cats. This event is for ages 15 and up.

Volunteer Orientation: We have our next orientation scheduled for prospective volunteers on Saturday, April 1st, at 10:30am. Fill out an application ahead of time and reserve your space here.
Yoga with Cats: Our next class will be Sunday, April 16th, at 10:30am. $18 gets you an hour-long class plus 30 minutes of free time with the cats! Sign up here.
Note that we will be open on Friday, April 7th (Good Friday) but we will be closed on Sunday, April 9th (Easter).
It feels like we have a lot going on at the lounge beyond the regular business of visitors and adoptions! Chelcie was adopted today, Milan and Paloma go home tomorrow, and Mittens and Cami have an approved application! That is an excellent start to the month.
We’ve added an Events page to help guests find what’s happening more easily.
All month long we’re offering Valentines hearts again. For $5 you can get a 6″ paper heart to honor a cat you love. For $25 you can get two 6″ hearts plus a handmade heart-shaped pillow one of our supporters has made for us. All of the paper hearts will be displayed in our front windows for the month of February.

We are excited to offer our first Yoga with Cats class on Sunday, November 6th, from 2:30-4:00pm.
Come enjoy a yoga class among the cats! This 60-minute relaxing class is open to ages 18 years and up and will be appropriate for all levels, including beginners. Participants should bring their own mats, wear comfortable clothes, and avoid strong scents (perfumes, etc). If you have not been to the lounge before please sign the waiver prior to arriving. Bring your own water bottle or purchase one from the lounge. Your time includes 30 minutes of free time to enjoy the cats!

“Qori Moorehaul is a yoga teacher and painter currently residing in Ventura. Qori is nonbinary and centers their yoga teachings around creating space to explore self. With a background in Hatha and Yin, Qori has taught around the United States and internationally for 8 years. Qori is an animal lover, passionate creator and looking forward to helping release any tension while leading a class surrounded by our feline friends.”
